Dental clinics

Kainuu dental clinics offer services to the population of the region within the available resources. Oral health care services include oral health checks, health promotion, treatment of established diseases, disease prevention and emergency care. We also use a service voucher.

Service fees are charged for dental treatment for adults. For irrevocable absences, 51.50 € will be charged for adults. Failure to receive a reminder message is not a reason not to use or cancel a treatment appointment.

Cancel or postpone your appointment if you have any of the following symptoms:

fever
flu
nausea or diarrhea
activated cold sores

If you need urgent treatment due to an acute problem despite the symptoms, please contact the dental clinic.

Dental emergency

Dental emergency appointment is availabe every day. The emergency reception is for all patients requiring emergency treatment. The urgency for treatment is assessed over the phone.

The dental emergency on weekends and holidays is open 9 AM to 3 PM at Kainuu Central Hospital Emergency Clinic (Sotkamontie 13, Kajaani). Entrance F2. Please self-register in the lobby of when arriving.

The dental emergency care is for patients when treatment cannot be safely postponed to the next weekday.

Weekday and weekend evenings after 3 p.m
If you need urgent dental care in the evening between 3-9 pm, please contact the Central Ostrobothnia dental emergency on 06 828 7450, (Mariankatu 16-20, Kokkola: Central Ostrobothnia Hospital, D-wing, 1st floor). The need for urgency will be assessed over the phone.

When you contact the dental clinic, your need is assessed by the professionals. You will receive advice or a scheduled appointment for treatment. A call-back service is in use. You can find regional contact information on the Dental clinics tab.

A text message reminder will be send two days before the time (automatically to the number that indicated in the health care data, if available). Appointment changes should be made on dental clinic's appointment number, Mon-Thurs 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and Fri 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. You can also cancel on Omasote online-service.
